The Fayek Anabtawi Institute Project
Rennovation and restoration of Fayek Anabtawi House and construction of new school
Background Architect Naseer Arafat, prominent in Nablus and Palestine for restoration projects, has been retained and commissioned by Anan to work on the renovation of the grand villa.
  
Poposal The proposal is to build a new school on the land currently used as a playground.
This was the condition laid by the ministry in order to agree to vacate the grand villa. They are asking that we build a new school to transfer the girls to. The grand villa will be converted to an institute for software programming, artificial intelligence (AI), data science and other 21st century technologies. There will also be a space for cultural events and display of family history and a family tree. A place where future generations of Fayek decescendants can learn about their roots and family. 		 
Costings

Total renovation cost of the grand villa was estimated at around $300,000.
The cost of the new school is estimated at about $700,000, calculated as follows:
- $750 per sq m. x 380 m2 per floor x 2 floors = $570,000.
- Plus foundation = half cost of one floor  = 50% x 750*380. = $142,500
- Total =  570,000+ 142500 =  US $ 712,500

The funding for this project has been secured. Family members will not be asked to contribute.
